Food Technologist

About the RoleReporting to the Senior Development Technologist, this role will see you driving the development process of new meat products from concept through to commercialisation.You will be involved in running production trials to test the transition into full scale production, as well as ensuring that packaging is compliant with industry regulations.You will regularly liaise with key internal departments, customers, external ingredient and packaging suppliers so excellent communication skills are a must!Your new role will include:Conducting and evaluating tests on new and existing productsParticipating in R&D trials and analysing data from the resultsDriving new product life cycle management through the stage of concept / development / commercialisationCollaborating with QA and Production regarding documentationLiaising with external marketing and trend companies to identify new food trendsLiaising with external ingredient and packaging suppliers to ensure the correct procurement for trialsPreparing and completing documentation for sample submissions to customersConducting Vital allergen calculationsWorking as part of a multi-functional team on process design layout for new productsSupporting the R&D Team in administrative assistanceDeveloping new products to deliver the required margin for our customersPlanning and organising resources to deliver conceptsManaging R&D systems (PLMS, Fusion, Mintel, Food People) to ensure accuracy and completeness of data and information About UsNowhere is trust more important than in the processing and provision of the food that we eat.Building on over 50 years experience in the industry, BE Campbell have grown to be one of Australia's largest and most trusted family owned food operators supplying a diverse range of sales channels including major supermarkets, food service, retail butchers and export markets.We employ over 800 staff and spans across 3 productions facilities and a Head office site in Western Sydney and regional NSW.Driven by our purpose of ‘Enriching lives through wholesome food’, we are committed to making a positive impact and providing innovative and high quality products to enable customers to lead healthier, happier lives.We foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture built upon family values.
